Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Behaviour Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people who have SEMH needs, providing them with support to overcome challenges and achieve their potential. Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both within the classroom and in other settings. Develop and implement individualized behavior plans tailored to the specific needs of each student. Support students in developing coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Monitor and track progress, adjusting interventions as necessary. Act as a positive role model and mentor for students, promoting self-esteem and positive relationships. Requirements: Previous experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, preferably within an educational setting. Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with students. Patience, empathy, and resilience. Relevant qualifications or training in areas such as psychology, counseling, or education (preferred).
