Financial Controller Location: Nottingham Salary: £50,000 £55,000 A fast-growing business based in Nottingham is seeking a driven and commercially astute Financial Controller to oversee the day-to-day finance operations and support the leadership team with robust financial insight. Within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, the business is looking for someone who is hands-on, process-focused, and ready to take ownership of the full finance function, reporting into an experienced CFO and MD. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reporting Oversight of transactional finance (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit control) Payroll management and collaboration with HR Cashflow forecasting and reporting Statutory compliance and timely filings Process improvements across finance and HR functions Support with audit preparation and internal controls Development and mentoring of junior finance staff Cross-department collaboration to improve financial visibility Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance lead Strong grasp of financial operations, compliance, and internal controls Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities Confident user of modern finance systems and tools Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Ideally, professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), though part-qualified candidates with relevant experience or those qualified by experience willalso be considered A high level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality This is a fantastic role for someone looking to make a tangible impact within a growing business, with the opportunity to shape the finance function and contribute to long-term strategic goals.
