Quality Technician - Oxford - £35,000

About the Opportunity Step into a pivotal role where you'll lead day-to-day quality operations, from goods inwards inspection to finished product quality assurance. You'll be at the forefront of our commitment to excellence, managing non-conforming components, driving corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact our success. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading goods inwards inspection and finished product quality checks Managing non-conforming components and developing corrective actions Conducting root cause analysis using industry-standard methodologies (8D reports, fishbone diagrams, 5WHYs) Supporting calibration management and supplier quality processes Collaborating with cross-functional teams on audits, investigations, and process improvements What We're Looking For We welcome candidates with GCSE level qualifications or equivalent experience who bring: Experience in mechanical/electronic environments (optical experience is a bonus) Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use metrology equipment Strong attention to detail and organized approach to work Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Eagerness to learn and grow within our supportive environment Competitive Compensation & Benefits Salary range: £28,000 - £35,000 (based on experience) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Up to 7% employer-matched pension Comprehensive health coverage from day one, including private health insurance, critical illness cover, and life insurance Bond Williams Professional Recruitment are an equal opportunity employer and operate as an Employment Business and Recruitment Agency
