Job Description
As Coastal Engineering continues to expand its presence along the East Coast, we're seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager with a background in marine construction to support our growing pipeline of complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining schedules, budgets, and project work plans for marine construction projects (ports, seawalls, bridges, subsea pipelines, etc.).
- Review engineering plans, contracts, and site conditions to identify scope, risks, and logistical challenges.
- Coordinate with project management, field operations, vendors, and subcontractors to support smooth project execution.
- Track and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.
- Support procurement of equipment, materials, and specialty subcontract services.
- Assist with project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and contribute to client communications.
- Participate in safety compliance, quality control, and regulatory commercial diving submittals.
- Provide on-site support to superintendents, divers, and field crews to ensure schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction project management, engineering, or field operations; marine or heavy civil construction experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on field background in marine construction or diving operations is a strong plus.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and project planning tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting USACE, NAVFAC, or DOT marine contracts.
- Familiarity with marine logistics, subsea construction, or diving operations.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil/Marine Engineering, or Marine Technology (preferred but not required).
Compensation details: 70000-85000 Yearly Salary
