Pay Information $2,038 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: AHA certifications required, CPI certification required Must-Have: Post-operative experience required Acute care experience required Experience working full-time on a post-operative unit Minimum of one travel contract completed Description: You are applying for a position in an area commonly impacted by hurricanes. The hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, but storms have been known to occur outside of that window. Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, there may be an expectation to support emergency operations during a storm. Specific details regarding pay will be communicated as storms approach. You should not apply during the hurricane window if you are not comfortable with the above conditions. This position specializes in post-operative gastrointestinal and wound care. Candidates must have experience with patient diagnoses including pancreatitis, GI bleeds, bowel obstructions, wound infections, and various post-operative challenges. Skills in handling equipment such as PEG tubes, PCA devices, surgical drains, and wound vacs are preferred. Candidates with experience in performing specific procedures will be prioritized. The manager may consider a blocked schedule for candidates willing to work on weekends. References are not required for submission, but they will be required for clearance prior to starting the contract.
