Deputy MLRO – Central London (Hybrid) About the role A leading international bank is hiring a Deputy MLRO to join its London office. This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for strengthening the firm’s financial crime resilience and driving ownership of the bank-wide compliance framework. Working closely with the Head of Compliance and MLRO, you’ll provide oversight across AML, ABAC, fraud, and wider financial crime risks, while leading and developing a compliance team. The role sits in the second line of defence , ensuring the bank’s controls and policies remain robust, compliant, and commercially effective. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with the oversight of the bank’s AML, CTF, and ABC frameworks Supporting the MLRO with regulatory reporting and SARs Leading on KYC/CDD/EDD processes , with a focus on PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media screening Oversight of transaction monitoring and escalation of suspicious activity Contributing to financial crime risk assessments, policies, and training across the business Acting as a point of contact with regulators and external stakeholders where required We’re looking for: Strong knowledge of UK financial crime regulations Previous experience in a banking or financial services compliance environment Exposure to AML, sanctions, transaction monitoring, and KYC/CDD/EDD Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership skills Willingness to be office-based in Central London three days per week Why apply?
