Production Planner – Manufacturing Location: Cambridge Salary: £30,000 per annum Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Cambridge, is looking for a proactive Production Planner to join their growing team. The Role As Production Planner, you’ll be the link between sales, procurement, and manufacturing — ensuring production schedules are met efficiently, on time, and to customer requirements. You’ll coordinate resources, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to keep operations flowing. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules Coordinate materials and resources to meet customer orders Monitor manufacturing progress and resolve scheduling issues Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams Analyse capacity and workload to optimise efficiency Maintain accurate production data and reports About You Previous experience in a production planning or scheduling role, ideally within manufacturing Strong organisational and time management skills Proficient in Excel and ERP/MRP systems Excellent communication skills, able to work cross-functionally Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach
