Job Description
As Lead Consultant you will have responsibility for assisting clients to transform their finance, supply chain and procurement functions through advisory, implementation and support activities with a focus on leveraging SAP based technologies. You will play a leading role in your area of expertise with the aim to successfully deliver and implement projects within the agreed scope to the highest level of quality. You will be leading a team of consultants within a workstream of a large project or acting as a project manager in smaller engagements. You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and assigning activities to your project team as well as engaging with senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Act as project/functional lead and ensure project deliverables are executed on time and to budget Document clients process flow to capture as is/to be process Write requirement and specification documents capturing client needs Configure system in line with requirements and specification documents Develop testing scripts in line with configured system and client requirement Execute and support on client testing Prepare and deliver presentations to support the engagement and workshops with clients Work effectively with senior stake holders and project team Maintain application knowledge as assigned to business process areas Solve a company’s business requirements through the blending of people, process and technology Direct and assign project task to team members and providing ongoing support through coaching, mentoring Identify ‘deviations’ and take appropriate corrective action Effectively transfer design and configuration knowledge to team members and provide ‘Best Business Practice’ knowledge to aid in the design process Support the sales team with presales activities including demos, RFP responses and technical discovery workshops Performance Indicators Drive the overall success of the project workstream Performing assigned tasks on time to the highest quality/standard Builds high performing teams by providing clear accountabilities, coaching and mentoring Identifying business development opportunities within projects and handing over to sales team Demonstrates a working understanding of accelerated implementation methodology and tools especially an AGILE templated methodology to cover client implementation and rollouts. Constantly Seeking opportunities to develop and expand knowledge Personal Attributes Takes accountability/ownership for the projects assigned to them Natural “improver” and aspires to drive change Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in order to find a solution Having the patience and tenacity to work through complex problems Ability to influence and motivate others Knowledge Strong understanding of business processes within Purchase to Pay (P2P) and wider Source to Pay Ideally Certified in SAP Ariba Understanding of project methodologies e.g AGILE, Prince2, SAP Activate Experience Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a broad range of digital procurement technologies i.e. Fairmarkit, ZIP, ServiceNow, ORO Strong procurement process best practice advisory experience in areas such as Buying Channels, Policy, Operating model Experience having worked on multiple life cycle implementation as Consultant/Lead Consultant on business transformation engagements Experience leading project teams including onshore/offshore models Highly experienced in leading client workshops and requirement gathering sessions External consulting experience is a strong desirable Presales experience an advantage
