Technical Buyer – Leeds/Hybrid - £35,000 – £40,000 CIPS Study Support Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnered with a rapidly growing business in Leeds city centre who are looking for a Technical Buyer to join their team. As a Technical Buyer, you will manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely procurement of essential component spares. You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement and supply chain teams to optimise costs and service levels. Benefits 25 days annual leave bank holidays the option to purchase 5 additional days Hybrid working (1 day whilst in training and then rising to 2 days work from home after) CIPS study support & development Generous pension scheme (1.5 x your contribution) Free rail travel for you and your family Enhanced maternity/paternity Death in service Long service recognition & various company events Working Hours: 37 Hours per week (Flexi time) 9am-3pm core hours Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement activities and supplier negotiations to secure quality, cost-efficient and timely supplies Identify and develop sustainable sources of supply that support the long-term goals of the business Ensure supplier contracts meet quality, cost and regulatory standards, while adhering to all relevant requirements Work closely with engineering teams to manage obsolescence issues and ensure high-quality supplies Analyse supplier performance and implementing strategies for improvement to enhance supply chain efficiency Background & Experience: Experience working within a technical engineering environment (Engineering/Rail/Aerospace/Marine etc) Strong experience in procurement and supplier management, with a proven track record of successful negotiations Elevation Recruitment Group is a specialist recruitment consultancy that helps people build long-term, successful careers.
