Business Development Executive

Based at our site in Biddulph we are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team. This is an "on the road" role so a company car will be provided. We are seeking someone who is already doing this role or something similar in the steel industry who can hit the ground running. The main purpose of the role is to: To support ASDs efforts to penetrate and develop specific sectors (such as Energy / Defence / Marine) and targeted companies providing both revenue and market share growth Monitor and deal with incoming central enquiries Monitor and track relevant projects via centralised project management tool Provide internal support to / work with Business Development Management team to achieve commercial targets Support and develop sales via Digital channels Key responsibilities are to To support the development of ASDs position within nominated sectors (such as Energy / Defence / Marine), enhancing our current sales and gross margin To perform market research on agreed sectors working with the Business Development Managers to manage project pipelines and develop business opportunities To maintain market sector knowledge including project and key relationships within the CRM system To provide quotation / tender support including supplier sourcing where applicable Responsible for quality and upkeep of customer database/records/reports in KliCC Account Manage where required contract accounts Company Benefits As well as a competitive salary we also offer an attractive benefits package which include: Contributory Pension Long Service Awards Discount cards for shops and restaurants Gym & Health Club discounts Holiday Trading Cycle to Work Scheme Lease Cars by Salary Sacrifice Life Assurance Lifetime financial well-being
