Job Description

Credit Risk Analyst – Energy & Commodities A leading energy trading organisation is seeking a skilled and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join its Credit Risk team. This role involves close collaboration with internal departments, external clients, third-party intermediaries, credit rating agencies, and insurers to manage credit exposure across energy supply contracts and related services. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth credit assessments, negotiating legal and collateral agreements (ISDA, EFET, CSA, PCG), and supporting commercial risk mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a credit risk role, preferably within the energy sector, with strong financial analysis skills, knowledge of credit frameworks, and proficiency in financial modelling tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate. A solid understanding of traded energy markets (Gas, Power, Carbon) is highly desirable, as is previous market risk exposure, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders. This client operates a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 from home and is non-negotiable. Please get in touch for further details.
