Contentious Probate Lawyer – 5 PQE Location: London Salary: Competitive, DOE Excellent Benefits Opportunity for future or immediate Head of Department We are working with a leading London firm seeking a talented and ambitious Contentious Probate Lawyer (5 PQE) to join their highly regarded Private Client department. This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside the Head of Private Client , gaining hands-on experience with complex, high-value disputes. For the right individual, this role offers a clear and structured succession plan , with the potential to step into the Head of Contentious Probate role in the near future. The Role: Handling a broad caseload of contentious probate matters, including disputes over wills, inheritance claims, challenges based on capacity or undue influence, executor/administrator disputes, and trust litigation. Working closely with the Head of Department on strategic planning and client development. Supporting the team’s growth and mentoring junior solicitors where appropriate. Building and maintaining strong relationships with HNW/UHNW clients, trustees, and intermediaries. Requirements: Qualified solicitor with 5 years PQE in contentious probate. Strong technical knowledge of private client dispute resolution, with experience acting on complex matters. A proactive, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
