Service Designer

Service Designer – SC Eligible Location: Hybrid, with travel as required Type: Permanent We are looking for an experienced Service Designer to join our growing digital and technology team. You will work on high-profile projects across government and commercial clients, helping to design services that are user-centred, accessible, and deliver real impact. The Role As a Service Designer, you will: Lead and contribute across the full service design lifecycle, from research and ideation to prototyping and delivery. Champion user-centred design and accessibility, applying GDS standards and inclusive practices. Produce clear design artefacts such as user journeys, service blueprints, personas, and service concepts. Facilitate workshops, design sprints and ideation sessions with stakeholders and users. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (UX, research, product, engineering) in an agile environment. What We’re Looking For Proven experience delivering service design in complex environments. Strong understanding of GDS service standards and agile delivery. Ability to create and present design outputs clearly to diverse audiences. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to manage competing priorities. SC Clearance, or eligibility to obtain (UK resident for 5 years).
