Based just North of Manchester and with exciting new product lines in the pipeline, the company is now seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, learn from experienced engineers, and be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and long-term thinking. About the Role: Reporting to the Product Design & Development Engineer, you’ll be involved in every stage of new product development, including: Market research and competitor benchmarking Liaising with suppliers to source new components Supporting prototype manufacture and assembly Testing and refining prototypes for production Providing input and support throughout the product lifecycle Initially, you’ll assist with ongoing projects, but as your experience grows, so too will your opportunities - including the chance to take the lead on new product design from concept to completion. Skills and Experience sought from the Product Designer: 1-3 years’ experience (including work placements) Background in product design within a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with metal fabrication and prototyping is a bonus Proficient in CAD - SolidWorks preferred In return: The salary on offer is within the range of £28k to £35k plus company pension.
