Role Overview To support the sales team in preparing designs and proposals for customers, attending meetings as design lead and liaising with manufacturers and the supply chain. Upon award of a contract assisting in handing over to Project team including ensuring all technical aspects and deliverables are documented and understood. Support the Project team with end of project O&M’s and paperwork. What you will do Review specs/tender documentation technically with Sales to agree best solutions and how/if to proceed Support with production of take offs as and when required Liaise with internal technical team to ensure technical compliance with specs and tender documentation Liaise with supplier/manufacturer to ensure technical compliance with specs/tender documentation Create BOM sheets and liaise with Procurement to obtain supplier/manufacturer quotes with latest pricing Prepare equipment schedules and company costing sheets for commercial review in conjunction with Sales Provide technical lead during internal project cost review meetings Provide pictorial drawings and associated technical information to support sales proposals where required Liaise with client to agree survey dates and times where applicable Attend sites at agreed times to complete detailed site survey, mark up site plans and ascertain required information to complete detailed site survey documents and associated NSI documentation where applicable Produce drawing mark ups to an agreed format for production of project drawings, review to ensure accuracy In the early stages produce CAD drawings. Provide technical lead during customer meetings and presentations In collaboration with Sales, handover projects to Projects team and ensure all docs transferred to SharePoint correctly Create Inspection Test Plan for each won project, to ensure the Projects Director and the Commissioning Engineer know what the outcomes are for each part of the system and what tests they will need to pass at the end. Attend User Acceptance Test alongside PM/Commissioning engineer to ensure the system objectives are achieved Obtain and maintain certification training on companies preferred systems and products Required Skills Be able to be security cleared to SC level Good understanding of IP CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Intruder Detection Systems, Networks and other electronic security related products. Additionally, a good working understanding of Microsoft Office and associated software programs are essential High level of technical knowledge of systems and products across a wide spectrum Demonstrated ability to manage several complex tasks concurrently and meet deadlines Persistence and resilience on seeing projects through to completion Practical and hands on approach to delivering outcomes Ability to form and maintain solid working relationships Self-motivation and self-sufficiency, with excellent time management skills and ability to manage a demanding workload and conflicting priorities. Ability to learn new information quickly and keep up with changing products and processes The ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with the confidence to build working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. A logical approach to problem solving and the ability to generate ideas and solutions Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally Excellent personal organiser and multi-tasker Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected are understood and met Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the Company.
