Senior Technology Counsel - 24 Month FTC

A fast-growing FinTech firm is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal team on a 24-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The Role: You’ll be a key legal advisor, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure robust, commercially sound agreements and legal compliance. The role suits a confident, proactive lawyer with a background in commercial, IT, or technology law. Key Responsibilities: Draft and negotiate complex SaaS contracts with global financial institutions Lead negotiations with clients and suppliers Advise on existing agreements and risk mitigation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals Manage external counsel to ensure cost-effective legal support Monitor legal and regulatory developments Ideally you will have: Strong PQE in commercial, IT, or technology law In-house experience in FinTech, SaaS, or tech-led businesses Excellent drafting and negotiation skills Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess legal risk Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple workstreams Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills Benefits Include: Hybrid working, private medical and dental cover, enhanced parental leave, generous holiday allowance, pension scheme, study leave, and lifestyle perks such as Cycle to Work and tech discounts.
