ROLE CNC Turner Setter Operator – Aerospace Components SALARY Competitive Overtime Benefits LOCATION Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire The company: Join a precision engineering leader supplying high-specification components to the aerospace sector. You’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team, producing small-to-medium batch, complex components for high-profile aerospace clients. The role: You will set and operate CNC lathes to tight tolerances, working closely with the Milling and Turning teams to deliver exceptional safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role includes setting and operating CNC Lathes. Key Responsibilities: Set and operate two-axis CNC lathes to customer specifications Work with Planning, Quality, and other teams on repeat and NPI work Maintain tight tolerances Uphold 6S standards on the shop floor Take part in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives Problem-solve when setting and have a basic understanding of programming/code reading What we are looking for: Aerospace or similar high-precision engineering experience Skilled in setting and operating CNC lathes ( Comfortable with a range of metallic materials Apprentice trained or qualified by experience Able to work unsupervised with strong problem-solving skills Background in motorsport, oil & gas, or aerospace preferred This is a late shift role working Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1:30pm paying up to £19.50 per hour for the right candidate.
