Artisanal Baker People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Artisanal Baker – Night Shift to join our well-established client based in Kidlington on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent annual salary and room to grow and progress. Hours of Work 9-hour shifts with a 30-minute break, 5 days working and 2 days off. Shift patterns may vary depending on the working schedule: Sunday to Thursday: 10:30 PM – 8:00 AM Friday to Saturday: 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM Salary: Starting at £30,500 per annum (depending on experience). Benefits: 50% off food and drinks on all products GP service (including mental health cover) Staff food and drinks on shift Free Apple Watch (based on activity level) 50% off major gyms (Virgin Active, Pure Gym, Nuffield Health) 75% off spa day at Champneys Spa Resorts Free Headspace access Vitality American Express card offer Day-to-Day Duties: Operate ovens and manage the baking process to ensure optimal results Prepare and mix dough according to standardised recipes and production requirements Monitor and check provers, scoring, glazing, and shaping doughs Assist with cleaning and maintaining bread baskets and bakery equipment Support viennoiserie production when required Ensure all baked goods meet high-quality standards and align with daily orders Work collaboratively with the team to execute production plans efficiently Maintain artisan baking methods while adapting to high-volume production Keep workstation clean, organised, and safe Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations in accordance with UK legislation and company policies Essential Skills: Strong experience in producing handcrafted bread using traditional techniques Excellent knowledge of dough preparation and proofing Enthusiastic, committed, and eager to learn Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment Reliable, methodical, and well-organised Good teamwork skills with a positive attitude Desirable Skills: Experience in viennoiserie production Previous night shift bakery experience Familiarity with high-volume artisan bakery operations Training: This role is also open to candidates with some experience who are willing to undergo further training.
