Electrical Design Engineer Location: Peterborough Contract: 12 months (high chance of extension) Hourly Rate: £31.29 Umbrella Start Date: September 2025 Hours: 37 per week (Mon–Thu 08:00–16:00, Fri 08:00–15:30) Working Arrangements: 5 days on site The Role We're looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our EC&I team in Peterborough. This role will focus on electrical design, automotive harness development, and ensuring compliance with UK/EU standards. You'll report to the Hiring Manager and work as part of a team of technical specialists. Key Requirements 1–3 years' experience in electrical/electronic design. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D, Electrical, or Autodesk Vault). Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Knowledge of compliance (CE / UKCA). Desirable: Stakeholder management, automotive/industrial/aerospace/military background.
