About The Position We are seeking a qualified Obstetrician and Gynecologist for a 40-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa, starting Jan 1, 2026. The role involves managing OBED patients, emergent cases, and the state's only maternity transport team. Shifts are 24 hours, from 7a to 7a, covering 6.5 shifts per month with continuous on-call responsibilities. Job Details Location: Iowa Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 LOA: 40 days Provider Type Needed: Obstetrician and Gynecologist Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7a-7a; 6.5 shifts per month; On Call 24/7 Responsibilities and Duties Attend to OBED patients. Handle emergent cases including vaginal deliveries and C-sections. Care for patients without a primary OBGYN. Operate within the only maternity transport team in Iowa. Utilize Epic EMR system for all medical documentation and patient management. Additional Information Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required. Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ at the time of name clear necessary. No supervision of APPs required. Access to medical imaging and lab & pharmacy facilities.
