TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85013! Pay Information $2,076 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Level I trauma experience required. Description: Prescreening is required. If clinical recommends, the candidate will be sent for manager approval. Candidates must pass the necessary exam prior to acceptance. Two attempts are allowed; failing both results in a six-month do not use status. All Registered Nurses are expected to complete skills labs for catheter insertion and dressing changes. Nurses typically must demonstrate competency in these areas. A strong understanding of maintaining a sterile field is essential. If a candidate indicates a lack of competency in required skills, they may not be a suitable fit. The unit provides a mix of medical and surgical care, specializing in patients with mental illness. Psychiatric experience is preferred but not mandatory. MedSurg and telemetry skills are prioritized, along with a willingness to work with patients experiencing mental health challenges. The unit has 14 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Behavior health technicians assist on the unit, with security monitoring via video. Shifts are 12 hours in duration, with a requirement to work every third weekend. Holiday shifts are rotated among permanent staff. The charting system used is Cerner. Common diagnoses include medical conditions with secondary psychiatric diagnoses. Patients may exhibit confusion, dementia, or low cognitive ability. Chemical restraints may be utilized, with rare instances of physical restraints. All patients are monitored via security video. The length of stay for patients is typically four days. The facility has a 24/7 respiratory therapy team and pharmacy services. Floating may be required to other departments as necessary.
