Head of Engineering

We are working exclusively with a leading food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a Head of Engineering to join their senior leadership team at their flagship Scottish site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong track record in food and drink manufacturing who is ready to drive innovation, efficiency, and world-class standards across engineering operations. The Role As Head of Engineering , you will: Lead and develop the site engineering strategy to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and compliance. Manage and mentor a team of skilled engineers across both planned and reactive maintenance. Deliver CAPEX projects to support site growth and technological advancement. Ensure robust engineering processes and compliance with food safety, health & safety, and regulatory standards. Work closely with production, operations, and NPD teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives. Key Requirements To be considered for the Head of Engineering role, you must have: Liquid fill experience within food or drink manufacturing – essential. Proven track record in a senior engineering leadership position within FMCG. Strong knowledge of compliance, reliability, and maintenance systems. Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to influence at all levels. A passion for continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices.
