Maintenance Engineer - Nights

Maintenance Engineer Night Shift We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer for the maintenance and repair of production and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance. Location: Wisbech Hours: 6:00pm to 6:00am 4 On 4 Off Salary: £42,000 10% Shift Allowance Per Annum (Experience Dependent) Benefits: 23 days holiday 8 bank holidays, up to 6% Pension contribution, Sick Pay, Career Progression Opportunities , Duration: Permanent Who are we? Job Duties: Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and packaging machinery Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimise downtime Respond swiftly and effectively to machinery breakdowns and faults Maintain accurate maintenance records and update maintenance logs Ensure all work is completed in compliance with food safety and health & safety standards Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency Liaise with production teams to prioritise and coordinate repair and maintenance work Maintain a clean and safe working environment Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades Be available for occasional callouts or overtime as required What we are looking for: Fully qualified Engineer (preferably time-served) Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is desirable. Knowledge of packaging and processing equipment is highly desirable Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach Excellent problem-solving and communication skills A team player who can also work independently So, are you ready for your next job?
