Job Description
Regional Facilities Manager Location: East London Salary: Up to £50,000 benefits Contract Type: Full-time, permanent The Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an experienced Regional Facilities Manager (RFM) to oversee the delivery of hard and soft FM services across a portfolio. You will be the operational lead, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective FM services that meet all contractual obligations. The role comes with significant leadership and budget accountability, and would suit a proactive individual with experience managing multi-site operations in a complex environment such as education, healthcare, or local government. Key Responsibilities Lead the safe, efficient delivery of all FM services across East London. Manage a team of 14 Site Managers, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and FM regulations Own regional compliance performance and ensure robust use of CAFM systems Manage budgets effectively, including labour, remedial works, and procurement Monitor KPIs, carry out audits, and implement service improvements Lead health and safety culture, chair meetings, and promote proactive hazard reporting Support with recruitment, inductions, training, and colleague development Oversee lifecycle works, condition surveys, and contractor management Represent the region as Duty Manager when required, including weekends and on-call support What You’ll Need Essential: 5 years’ experience in a senior FM role, preferably in a multi-site PFI setting Strong knowledge of FM statutory compliance and health & safety (e.g. IOSH) Experience managing both hard and soft FM services Skilled in CAFM systems and using data to drive performance Effective leadership and people management skills Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities Commercial awareness and budget management experience Passionate about zero harm and safety-first operations Desirable: NEBOSH qualification BIFM/ILM Level 4–5 HNC/HND/Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Building Services, Engineering, Surveying) Asbestos awareness, Legionella responsible person, Fire Risk Assessment knowledge Experience working within PFI contracts and performance frameworks
