Senior Cost Manager – Construction Consultancy Location : Shoreditch, London (Hybrid) Salary : £60,000–£75,000 DOE We’re partnered with a well-established construction consultancy known for delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK and internationally. With a growing pipeline of complex, design-led schemes — particularly across retail, leisure, and hospitality — they’re now looking to appoint a Senior Cost Manager to take the commercial lead on several upcoming projects. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to take a more strategic role in cost planning and delivery while remaining hands-on with key clients and high-spec builds. The Role As a Senior Cost Manager, you’ll be involved from early-stage feasibility through to final account — providing robust cost advice, contractual support, and value-driven solutions that help clients make the best commercial decisions. You’ll act as a key interface between the design team, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with zero surprises. Responsibilities Develop and present cost plans, feasibility studies, and procurement strategies Manage tender reviews and contractor recommendations Oversee cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle Lead on valuations, change management, variations, and final account settlement Deliver clear and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders Attend client meetings and provide expert commercial insight Contribute to improving internal systems, templates, and cost reporting tools What You’ll Bring Strong experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor, ideally in a consultancy or client-side setting Track record of delivering commercial fit-outs or refurbishments — retail, F&B, and leisure sector knowledge a real plus In-depth understanding of cost planning, contract administration, and procurement Confident working independently across multiple projects, with strong commercial instincts Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills RICS-qualified or working toward chartership is preferred
