DB Admin Azure Cosmos DB Location: Central London (hybrid) Contract Type: 6 month initial contract, starting ASAP Industry: Banking & Financial Services Day rate: £450 - £550 (TBC, inside IR35) Our client, a large global consultancy, is seeking an Azure Cosmos DB Admin to play a key role in configuring scalable, secure, and high-performance applications tailored for the banking and financial services sector. This is a hands-on role where you will deliver cloud-native solutions using Azure Cosmos DB (SQL & Mongo APIs), implement partitioning strategies, indexing, and consistency models, and ensure real-time processing of critical financial data. Key Responsibilities Configure cloud-native applications using Azure Cosmos DB (SQL API, Mongo API) Design and implement partitioning strategies, indexing, and consistency models Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Monitor and optimise Cosmos DB performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights Collaborate with solution architects and DevOps teams to integrate Cosmos DB into microservices Your Profile Essential Skills & Experience: Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB (query optimisation & throughput management) Proficiency with Git, version control, and CI tools Indexing strategies and RU (Request Unit) cost management Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for Cosmos DB Experience in diagnosing latency, availability, and throughput issues Desirable: Deep understanding of Cosmos DB architecture, partitioning, indexing, consistency models, and throughput provisioning Interested?
