Job Description
Behaviour Mentor North London Full-time, Long-term Through Milk Education Milk Education is working with schools across North London to recruit dedicated Behaviour Mentors who can support young people in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour management, youthwork, or pastoral support who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people. The Role: Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils to support positive behaviour and engagement. Implement behaviour support strategies and restorative approaches. Act as a positive role model, building trust and resilience in pupils. Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment. Liaise with pastoral teams, parents/carers, and external agencies where needed. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (in schools, youthwork, or similar settings). Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and wellbeing. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
