Maintenance Engineer

Alexander Steele are working exclusively with an established food manufacturer in Dunfermline who are actively recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their site engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced food or FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally with an electrical bias. Roles & Responsibilities Respond promptly to plant breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtime Conduct routine preventative maintenance in line with schedules and company standards Work across a variety of food production machinery including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging equipment Support site-wide improvement initiatives, including reliability, efficiency, and health & safety Participate in root cause analysis to reduce recurring faults and drive engineering solutions Collaborate closely with production, hygiene, and technical teams to ensure site targets are met Maintain accurate records of work completed and adhere to site compliance standards Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function Maintain a clean, safe working environment and uphold food safety and GMP standards On Offer £45,000 – £50,000 annual salary Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 6:00pm Company pension If this is of interest or you require further information, then please apply with your most up-to-date CV and I will be in touch!
