Job role: Residential Childcare Support Worker Job Type: Full-time Salary: £28,683 - £29,426 annually Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to children living in a residential setting, ensuring their well-being and assisting in their development. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day care and support to children in a residential environment. Create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and cared for. Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational pursuits. Support children in developing social skills and emotional resilience. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs. Monitor and record children's progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to senior staff. Engage in play and recreational activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators. Participate in training and professional development opportunities regularly. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding protocols to protect children. Essential Qualifications: A strong desire to work with children and impact their lives positively. Ability to communicate effectively and empathize with children from diverse backgrounds. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desired Experience: Experience in a childcare or residential care setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of child development principles and practices is preferred.
