Job Title: Designer – Façades, Cladding & Glazing Location: London (Hybrid – Office & Site) Salary: Up to £50,000 Package We are working with a specialist building envelope contractor who are looking for an experienced Designer to join their technical team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on challenging façade, cladding, glazing, and curtain walling projects, taking designs from concept through to fabrication and installation. Key Responsibilities: Produce high-quality designs, drawings, and 3D models for façades, cladding, glazing, and curtain walling systems Translate client, architect, and engineering requirements into practical design solutions Ensure designs comply with building regulations, fire safety, and performance standards Create fabrication and installation drawings for workshop and site use Conduct site surveys (laser level, glass meter, measure, etc.) Review and resolve design queries, identifying potential buildability issues early Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to keep projects moving Carry out site visits to check design intent and resolve issues in real time Stay up to date with new systems, materials, and innovations Provide technical input during tenders, bids, and project meetings About You: Proven experience as a Designer in façades, cladding, glazing, windows & doors, or curtain walling Strong technical knowledge of façade systems and associated fixings Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) Excellent understanding of building regs, fire performance, and thermal/acoustic requirements Detail-focused with strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset What’s on Offer: Salary up to £50,000 package Hybrid working (office/site) Opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile building envelope projects Supportive technical team with scope for development and progression
