Specialist Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs / PMLD) West London Full-time / Long-term opportunities Through Milk Education Milk Education is seeking passionate and skilled Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex medical needs in a specialist school setting in West London. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people who require high levels of care, personalised learning, and therapeutic support. The Role: Provide tailored support to pupils with complex learning and medical needs. Assist with personal care , including feeding, toileting, and hygiene routines. Safely use hoisting equipment and follow moving & handling plans. Support students with physiotherapy and occupational therapy programmes . Encourage communication, engagement, and independence in line with EHCP targets. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting pupils with PMLD / complex needs in a school or care setting. Confidence in delivering personal care and using hoisting equipment. Understanding of sensory learning approaches and therapeutic interventions. A caring, patient, and resilient attitude. Team player with excellent communication skills.
