Double days - Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

My client is a wet wipe manufacturer in the Somerset area who is looking to increase their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide array of Process, Converting and Packaging equipment in a Double Day based role in the heart of Somerset. We are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor. This is a two shift engineering position 6am-2:15pm and 2pm-10:15 am Mon -Friday The position will require a proactive, can do attitude. Salary - £46,000 Duties include: · Plan and carry out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance on site · Resolving Day to Day Issues · Stock Management and Sourcing of Spare Parts as Required · Continuous Improvement on Existing and New Equipment · Basic DIY Tasks as Required Experience/ Qualifications: · A qualified and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with experience in the Converting and Packaging, FMCG Industry · Good engineering disciplines and controls and a good knowledge of engineering, health and safety standards, legislation and regulations. · Engineering qualification – HNC / NVQ · Knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage · Good communication skills. · Ability to make decisions using own initiative. · Ability to fault find and read drawings, Electrical (PLC's) and Mechanical (Pneumatics) · Excellent problem solver who is proactive in recommending and implementing actions to solve issues and improve ways of working.
