Lead Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician Lead Hand Location:Kirkbymoorside Hours:37 per week (MonThurs 8:304:30, Fri 8:304:00, flexi-time available) Overtime:Paid at time and a half (MonSat) and double time (Sun) Holidays:25 days 8 bank holidays Benefits:5% pension, private healthcare, life insurance (2x salary) An experienced Mechanical Technician Lead Hand is required to support and coordinate a team within a busy engineering workshop. Youll play a key role in assembling and testing mechanical and hydraulic systems, ensuring quality standards are met, and keeping projects running smoothly. What you will be doing: Leading and supporting a small team of mechanical technicians Assembling and testing mechanical and hydraulic products and systems Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications Overseeing day-to-day workshop operations to ensure safety, quality, and deadlines are achieved Carrying out inspections, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives Acting as cover for the Mechanical Technician Supervisor when required What you will bring to the team: Strong workshop background with experience in mechanical/hydraulic systems Ability to interpret engineering drawings and lead by example Hands-on skills with mechanical assembly, testing, and load operations Previous team leadership or lead hand experience desirable To be considered for this position click apply and submit a copy of your up to date CV, or contact Lisa Ray at Pin Point Recruitment.
