We have an exciting 12 month contract opportunity for an experienced Director, Legal to join a leading global media organisation and provide expert legal support across EMEA theatrical marketing campaigns. Reporting to Senior Vice President level, this role is a key partner to marketing, publicity, promotions, and creative teams across EMEA – ensuring compliance, protecting brand integrity, and enabling innovative campaigns to thrive. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for theatrical marketing, publicity, and brand promotions teams across EMEA. Provide strategic legal advice on digital, promotions, partnerships, publicity, creative advertising, media, and special events. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: Co-promotion & sponsorship deals Content licensing and media agreements Social influencer and marketing vendor contracts Sweepstakes, contests, and consumer data agreements Partner with digital marketing teams on complex, multi-layered campaigns, including social media, native advertising, influencer activations, and UGC initiatives. Oversee legal aspects of EMEA publicity tours, premieres, and experiential stunts, ensuring safety, compliance, and brand protection. Advise on use of music, data privacy, and AI in marketing supplier contracts. Liaise with local counsel across EMEA to stay ahead of regulatory and compliance issues. About You Qualified Solicitor in the UK with extensive post-qualification experience (ideally 8 years gained in-house or within a law firm. Strong background in digital media, advertising, and marketing law. Deep knowledge of EMEA and EU marketing/advertising regulations. Commercially minded with the ability to evaluate risks under tight timeframes. Skilled at managing multiple projects across territories independently. Strong communicator with the ability to advise senior executives and build trusted client relationships.
