Job Description Position: Behavioral Health Psychiatrist (MD/DO) Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Maintain clinical skills in psychiatry and provide direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Consult with other specialties when appropriate. Supervise and provide consultation to mid-level providers, residents, and/or medical students. Participate in departmental call schedule, medical education programs, staff meetings, and committees. Engage in process improvement initiatives related to practice. Ensure timely, accurate, and legible medical records. Follow evidence-based medicine for efficient resource management. Provide patient and family education on care plans. Minimum Qualifications: Current license to practice in the State of Iowa. Board certification in psychiatry within five years of residency/fellowship or waiver approved by Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees. Preferred: Prior practice experience.
