Assistant Accountant

Role : Assistant Accountant Location : Prospecton Start Date : Immediate Software Proficiency : Pastel Partner and Sage Qualifications: Matric B.Com in Financial Accounting. Experience in a similar working environment, an advantage Clear criminal record Role & Responsibilities Capturing cash book and credit card statements on SAGE of all bank accounts and reporting balances to management every morning; Ensuring all sales invoicing has been vetted and checked before updating each morning; Debtor management i.e follow up with debtors clerk on outstanding payments and any queries; Inputting stock movements on IBT and packing on Sage system Month End Process Vat reconciliation and submit to FM for processing; Vetting all deliveries have been invoiced from delivery books for each warehouse; Bank reconciliation on Pastel partner month end; Petty cash capturing and reconciliation; Tracking of admin sick, annual leave and family responsibility leave days; Vetting customer month end statements to be sent out; Vetting supplier recons balances to system; Inventory Variance reporting (Mid and Month End) Ensuring all general ledger accounts have been reconciled including intercompany for FM to finalise month end closure.
