Quantity Surveyor

Our client in the Engineering Consulting industry is looking for a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Western Cape, Cape Town North area. Minimum Requirements BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying Professional Registration (PrQS) - (No Candidate QS will be considered) 610 years relevant experience Proficiency in WinQS, DimensionX, MS Word, and MS Excel Valid drivers license Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate design documentation Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates Compile bills of quantities and contract documentation Conduct financial evaluations of tenders Manage project cost control, including cashflow forecasts, cost reports, valuations, variation orders, and contractual claims Negotiate and prepare final accounts Attend and contribute to site and project meetings Conduct viability studies, damage costings, and determine value at risk Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other quantity surveyors Core Competencies Strong analytical and numerical skills Cost estimation and budgeting expertise Procurement and contract administration knowledge Attention to detail and quality assurance Negotiation and conflict resolution skills Excellent time management and organisational ability Client relationship management and professional communication
