Bookkeeper My client in the Overberg, Hermanus, is looking for a bookkeeper to join their boutique and dynamic accounting firm. Area: Hermanus Type: Full day position, working from home. (Within 1 hour from Hermanus with the ability to attend occasional in-person meetings.) Salary: Market-related and depending on experience. Overview: Responsible for day-to-day financial administration using Pastel. This includes bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and assisting with monthly reporting. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records. Manage payroll and pension submissions. Conduct monthly bank and payment gateway reconciliations. Raise and track invoices, process payments, manage expense claims. Assist with VAT filings and end-of-month reporting packs. Support year-end accounting and liaise with external accountants. Requirements: 3 years’experience in a similar bookkeeping role. Relevant qualifications are not a requirement but will be a bonus. Strong attention to detail and understanding of payroll/tax processes. Attributes: Able to work independently. Must have a remote office setup. Detail-Oriented: Organised, accurate, and thorough in execution.
