Mine Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans for open cast operations. Conduct pit design, scheduling, and optimization studies. Monitor production performance against plans and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and environmental regulations. Support operational teams with technical expertise on mining methods and equipment utilization. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for mining projects. Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management. Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and production teams to ensure effective mine planning. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mining processes. Requirements: Degree in Mining Engineering. Minimum 35 years experience in open cast mining operations. Registration with ECSA. GCC - Government Certificate of Competence. Strong knowledge of mine planning Understanding of mining legislation, safety standards, and best practices. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent technical knowledge of open cast mining methods. Proficiency in mine planning and design software.
