Sourcing Analyst

The Sourcing analysts provides quick response time on raw material quotes for assigned components. Supports Commodity Manages to identify cost reduction opportunities. Maintains supplier relates information. Core areas: Provide 48-hour response time to RFQ packages for assigned components/commodities. Sets new suppliers in the system and updates information on existing suppliers. Manages supplier databases and constantly monitors to make sure all related information (i.e. contacts, certifications) is up to date. Works with site SCMs to request monthly spend data, puts together monthly reports and provides analysis (Regionally and Globally) in support of strategic sourcing initiatives. Supports overall supplier negotiations. Helps maintain AVL’s (approved vendor lists), customer LOAs, Volex Contact pricing lists. Supports negotiation of supplier payment terms to drive cash flow and improve DPO (days payable outstanding). Works with local purchasing to coordinate RM NPI buys and provides proper data handoff for production ordering. Supports Commodity manager on negotiations to implement long-term agreements and rebates. Assists in the development and enhancement of processes and systems. Contributes to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction efforts and initiatives to achieve additional benefits. Qualification and Experience Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Engineering. 2-3 years experience. Working with manufacturing engineering and program management teams. Experience in negotiation (internal and external). Ability to travel on business related trips (up to 10%)
