Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $32.25 - $48.50 Position Highlights Join Avera as a Sonographer! Hours: Monday-Friday/Day shift; Call every 8th weekend, 1 holiday per year A Brief Overview Performs routine and complex echocardiograms. Site specific requirements may include transesophageal echos, vascular diagnostic testing, stress tests, EKGs, cardiac monitors, tilt table and Mobile Outreach. What you will do Produces accurate and efficient clinical diagnostic images as directed by providers and/or reading physician according to established standards and protocols. Initiates proper notification to reading physician or referring provider when test indicates immediate attention. Reviews appropriate indications for tests ordered and contacts provider for more information when needed. Provides test data in a complete and accurate format for presentation to the reading physician for interpretation. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, and environment and infection control. Assists with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation. Assists with analysis, collection and maintenance of records as required by department manager, Quality Improvement, Joint Commission, accreditation standards, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by the facility or law. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: Associate's in related field RDCS (AE) - American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 1 Year Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: RVT (VT) - American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 1 Year Less than 1 year Expectations and Standards Commitment to the daily application of Avera’s mission, vision, core values, and social principles to serve patients, their families, and our community.
