What you’ll do: As a Process Engineer in our Coating department, you’ll make a direct impact as you’ll be able to use your expertise to provide engineering support, troubleshoot and resolve processing issues on the production floor. Your natural problem-solving skills will come in handy as you lead projects that increase equipment uptime, output, and capacity. Your passion will lead you to initiate and drive continuous improvement programs that increase productivity and overall equipment effectiveness. To ensure success in the role, you have experience in Web Coating, excellent project management skills and are highly analytical. Responsibilities Include: Solve production problems involving web conveyance, coating quality, air flows and drying Support capital projects for capacity and process improvements Leads and/or supports continuous improvement programs to improve quality, cost and safety Participate and leads cross functional teams related to manufacturing programs Takes engineering lead on production capacity teams Instruct others and prepare Standard Operating Procedures to define steps/controls for the manufacturing process Stays informed on new coating technology and leads implementation of equipment to remain competitive Develop layouts to optimize process flow and material handling Supports actions and provides directional cost models on commercialization teams for new products Required Qualifications: (Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job) BS Chemical/Mechanical or related engineering discipline 3-5 years of related experience in web coating, handling, and winding Advanced knowledge of coating equipment/process/system technologies Knowledge of engineering principles/theories/formulas/standards/practices Analytical, problem solving and critical-thinking skills Justification/management of capital investments Commercialization activities for new products Strong communication and interpersonal skills Solid CAD software and PC skills Good judgment and decision making What we offer: Health, Vision, Dental Insurance Immediate 401(k) Match Wellness Program/Incentives Paid Lunch Breaks Paid Time Off Shift Premiums On-Site Fitness Facility Continued Learning Opportunities Tuition Assistance Program Employee Appreciation Programs ARMOR-IIMAK Safety Program Employee Assistance Program Pay Transparency: Additional factors such candidates work experience, education/training, job-related skills, as well as market and business considerations may influence compensation offered.
