This role involves oversight, delegation, and coordination of total nursing care in alignment with organizational goals and values. Key Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Conduct comprehensive assessments for various patient types including Medical, Surgical, Obstetrical, Pediatric, ER, and Telemetry/Cardiac. Collaborate with medical staff and healthcare team members to manage patient care plans. Administer medications and treatments safely and timely. Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Implement infection control practices including PPE usage. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with HIPAA. Maintain a high level of customer service and contribute to a professional work environment. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Current RN license in Nebraska. One year of full-time rural healthcare experience preferred. Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred. Certifications Required Basic Life Support (CPR) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Required within 2 years of employment Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Valid Driver’s License Physical Requirements Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs frequently and assist with lifting up to 300 lbs occasionally. Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and operating a motor vehicle. Visual acuity including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision. Work Environment Hospital setting with moderate noise levels.
