Mortgage Underwriter Tamworth We are currently working with a fantastic brokerage. We are looking for a Underwriter to join the team The main responsibility of the Underwriter is to take ownership of all cases allocated to you. Responsibilities: Assessing and underwriting all loan documentation, including valuation reports. Requesting additional information where required. Highlighting any concerns regarding the application and documentation. Carrying out checks on applicants and properties. Assessing suitability for the loan applied for. Proactively chasing outstanding information. Ensuring timely updates to all parties. Recommending and referring cases to the Credit Committee where approval is required. Liaising with introducers, valuers and solicitors and applicants. Skills and experience: Excellent attention to detail. The ability to work as part of a team. Articulate. Well organised. Excellent communication skills. A good understanding of FCA regulations. Mortgage Underwriting experience CeMap qualified (ideally)
