PRODUCTION MANAGER – CITRUS AND/OR AVOCADO

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Applicants should be post-matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, with at least 3 years experience in the cultivation of citrus and/or avocados Knowledge of modern production practices Specific knowledge/ experience in irrigation practices will be to your advantage Good leadership and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Production: Plant, schedule irrigation, apply fertilizer, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations Personnel and administration: Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment / orchards / general) Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted
