Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Cleveland Cascades Ltd is a world leader in the design and manufacture of specialised dry bulk handling equipment. We currently have a full-time permanent vacancy for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, reporting to the Design Manager and working within the engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for aspects of design from conception to sign off and be heavily involved in the layouts, associated calculations for verification and detailed design. Also responsible for managing the implementation of innovative solutions & design changes. Working within a small team, the candidate will be expected to use their own initiative to deliver projects within specification and on time. Educated to degree level or higher, will be a self motivated and task orientated Engineer used to working within a small to medium sized business unit. Will have good working knowledge of basic engineering principles and preferably have at least 5 years experience in bulk materials handling, conveyors systems and structural steel. Experience of working with engineering standards would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will have Inventor and Vault experience as well as Microsoft Project. Must have an organised and methodical approach to the work-load, have an aptitude to processing procedural work i.e. NCRs ECRs etc. An understanding of FEA, DFM would be desirable.
