Job Title: Account Handler – Manchester Area Salary: £40,000 Base Location: Manchester Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Account Handler to join our Manchester team. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of commercial and high-net-worth (HNW) clients, providing professional advice, policy support, and ensuring clients receive the most suitable coverage. This role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial insurance products and premium levels, making it ideal for a skilled and motivated insurance professional. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial and HNW insurance clients. Contact underwriters and carriers to secure appropriate levels of coverage. Handle client queries regarding billing, policy coverage, and rating issues. Process payments, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations efficiently. Promote additional products and cross-sell services where appropriate. Communicate insurance proposals clearly and professionally to clients. Maintain accurate records using Acturis and other internal systems. Keep up-to-date with FCA regulations, insurer updates, and internal training. Requirements: Proven experience as an Account Handler or similar role within commercial/HNW insurance. Experience handling large premium ranges. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Acturis and Microsoft Excel. CII qualification (IF1 or equivalent) is preferred. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and client-focused. Benefits: Competitive £40,000 base salary.
