Global Head of Engineering and HSE

Norman Broadbent PLC, a leader in executive search, is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to appoint a Global Head of Engineering & HSE . The company has a Pan-European platform developing, manufacturing, and providing high-quality, affordable medicines to over 100 million people in Europe. It operates four wholly owned manufacturing sites and collaborates with external manufacturing partners to ensure supply security. The company specializes in therapeutical areas such as Cardiology & Circulation, Diabetes, Oncology, Respiratory, CNS, and is expanding its self-care portfolio. Owned by Private Equity, it aims for sustainable double-digit growth and plans further expansion across Europe. The Global Head of Engineering will execute strategies and engineering activities aligned with Product Supply objectives. This role is a key member of the Product Supply Leadership Team, contributing to strategic direction and operational excellence. While headquartered in Central Europe, the role does not require being based there; the candidate should be in a European country with frequent travel ability. Main Responsibilities Strategic Leadership : Define and implement a global engineering strategy; drive process and technology standardization; advise the Product Supply Leadership Team; integrate HSE into engineering; ensure compliance and sustainability; foster safety culture. Operational Excellence : Oversee engineering performance, ensure safety and compliance of facilities and equipment, lead CAPEX and global projects. Innovation and Technology : Promote Industry 4.0 adoption, drive operational innovation. People Development : Build and lead engineering teams, develop careers, ensure SME support.
