We are one of the UKs leading designers and manufacturers of retail display solutions. All produced inhouse over our extensive manufacturing facilities within the UK at Stockport & Halifax. Our Stockport division is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Wire Machine Operator to join our team and work in our Fabrication department. The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride delivering high quality results. This is a hands-on role working to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: As a Wire Machine Operator, you would be running the wire machine daily. Carry out Butt welding as required. Carry out manual Bending of wire to suit operational requirements. Engage in Floor Drilling, Mesh Cutting and Guillotine duties. Perform quality control to all tasks. Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Be willing to progress to other fabrication duties including Spot Welding Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations. Qualifications: Previous experience with WAFIOS wire machine would be beneficial. Strong attention to detail, including quality. Ability to follow instructions. A good physical stamina is an advantage, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Team player with strong communication skills. Good attention to detail, including quality. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. A Driving licence would be preferable.
