Job Description The Water Treatment Sales Engineer or Account Manager is responsible for the effective and profitable sales and business management of assigned territory and customer accounts. Main Responsibilities : Manage the territory with a focus on revenue growth and margin improvement. Work with current customers to provide value and meet service needs. Operate under Plan and Forecast rhythm to monitor business behavior in the territory. Participate in plant visits, observe instruments, gather information, analyze/interpret results, and report corrective actions to customers. Utilize both economic and technical sales approaches and deal with complex matrix organizations within customer companies. Coordinate relationships with Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, Product Management, and other internal functions. Document observations during plant visits and contribute to final reports for internal audiences. Manage time, budget, and expense parameters effectively. Ensure full compliance with EHS policies and Italian laws. Report EHS issues related to work in a timely manner. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field. Short-term experience in a water treatment company or industrial plant (steel mill, power plant, chemical plant, etc.). Valid Driver’s License. Willingness to reside in Campania, Italy, and travel within the territory. Fluent in English and Italian; French is a plus. Desired Skills and Attributes : At least six months of relevant work experience (e.g., internships, training, initial professional experience). A passion for sales and challenges. Strong sales and interpersonal skills. A proven sales record or the aptitude to succeed in a technical and relationship-driven business. Proficiency in computer skills. Personal traits including integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy, and resilience. Willingness to work independently after training and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team-oriented and capable of managing projects.
